School uniforms are purchased at the school in the Argyle Shop, located in the lower level (SS2) of the Speirs Building. All profits from the shop are used to benefit all the students attending the school. You may shop in person or place an order online for pickup at the Front Office using our online store. During the school year, the Argyle Shop is open Monday to Thursday. Opening hours are posted on the Argyle Shop website. In June and in mid-August, the Argyle Shop will have extended days and hours to accommodate parents (by appointment only). New parents will be contacted by email to set up an appointment. Please note that only unworn, unaltered tagged garments can be exchanged before school starts. Altered garments will not be exchanged. Please keep your receipts. Uniform Requirements for Kindergarten: • Selwyn House School grey T-shirt • Selwyn House School athletic shorts • Selwyn House School sweatsuit • White socks (available in the Argyle Shop) • Running shoes (velcro), not sold in the Argyle Shop • Selwyn House School House T-shirt • Selwyn House School gym bag (to keep the gym uniform in) Recommendations: • Two T-shirts (grey, crested gym T-shirts and coloured House T-shirts) • Two pairs of black, crested shorts • One black, crested sweatsuit - sweatshirt and sweatpants (To be kept at school)

Students often prefer the short-sleeved polo shirts in the warmer months and long-sleeved polo shirts in the cooler months. We recommend buying a minimum of three in total. DRESS PANTS: Washable grey pants are sized by waist measurement. Pants are available with elastic or regular waistbands. Most of the younger boys prefer the elastic waist. The pant leg bottoms are not hemmed. Do not hem the pants until just before school starts, as your son will likely grow during the summer. We suggest purchasing two to three pairs of pants. Pants with belt loops are to be worn with a belt. SHOES AND SOCKS: Grey dress socks are available at the Argyle Shop. You might need a minimum of five pairs. Black or brown leather shoes are required and, unless your son is proficient at tying his own laces, the teachers request that you purchase Velcro-closing shoes. Shoes that resemble running shoes, boots, or sandals are not permissible. The summer uniform is dress pants and SHS crested blue short-sleeved dress shirts (students are not required to wear their blazers, ties or sweaters). Only SHS crested blue short-sleeved shirts from Argyle Shop are acceptable. Physical education shirts, even those with collars, are not permissible. There are some occasions, notably school closings or graduations, for which the regular full uniform will be required. No other items of clothing are permissible for summer uniform.
